Horseshoe Bay

World-Class Residential and Resort Community

Find Great Places to Stay, Eat, Play & More in the Horseshoe Bay Area

Fine dining, great golf courses, access to Lake LBJ, and fabulous resort amenities make Horseshoe Bay an ideal place to live or vacation.

Horseshoe Bay is a world-class residential and resort community developed in the early 1970’s. It lies on the shores of Lake LBJ, one of the seven Highland Lakes formed by the damming of the Colorado River.

Conveniently located in the “Golden Triangle” of Texas, Horseshoe Bay is within 200 miles of Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth and San Antonio…and just minutes from Marble Falls. And of course, our State Capital, Austin is just about an hour southeast. So as you can see, it just doesn’t get much better than this!

The average temperature is 52 degrees in the winter and 84 degrees in the summer.

Lake LBJ is 23 miles long with 150 miles of shoreline and is kept at a constant level. This means that, not only are the boating and fishing always great, but it also offers the opportunity to build a home on the water’s edge without worry.

The area is blessed with natural beauty, and some of it’s biggest attractions are man made.

Horseshoe Bay boasts three spectacular golf courses, Slick Rock, Ram Rock, and Applerock, designed by world renown golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Sr.
