      Beautiful Lake Travis can be found at the northwest edge of Austin.

      It is home to a number of catfish, white bass, large-mouth bass, sunfish, striped bass, white bass, Guadalupe bass and other common fish species. It is also used for flood control, electrical power generation, recreation and a source for water supply. It is considered the longest of the seven Highland Lakes, and many people visit it for sailing and boating. The lake is ideal for such activities, and you can find all kinds of boat rentals to choose from.

      Youngsters love Shore Club Volente Beach Water Park. The whole family will enjoy the pools, slides and water park attractions. If you are visiting in the summer, be sure to put this on your itinerary. It will be worth it all.

      For golfers, there are several public courses for your enjoyment.

      For more adventurous vacations, you can try going to Pace Bend Park. It is a perfect place for RV/camping trip and you can go hiking and stay there for the night. Also, many have noted going cliff diving in the area.

      There are a plethora of mouth-watering restaurants to choose from. Here are just a few:

      The Oasis: Serving a variety of dishes, from Mexican, Latin, Tex-Mex and American, the dishes are reasonably priced. The crawfish etouffee enchiladas are true must-haves that people come back for. This restaurant is world famous for it’s spectacular views of the lake, especially at sunset,

      Artisan Bistro: A more sophisticated place for those who are looking for French pastries and French classic meals. Carlos n’ Charlie’s: A place that is famous not only for their food but also for the attractions that they afford their patrons. There is a live band and if you are up for it, there is room for you to play sand volleyball.
