Welcome to the Grill at Leon Springs - a one-of-a-kind creative dining and entertainment experience rooted in European cuisine and hospitality, and inspired by the Texas Hill Country. We pride ourselves on our accomplished kitchen’s reputation for scratch cooking and our friendly, personal attention to our guests. Both of us, Chef/owner Thierry Burkle and Manager/owner Armand Obadia, oversee every aspect of the restaurant, bar and catering operations all day, every day. We welcome you to our home away from home.
We designed our menu to be broad and affordable – as accessible to the discriminating gourmet as it is to the casual diner. We have become a neighborhood favorite for residents of The Dominion, Fair Oaks, Boerne and Leon Springs – a place friends meet for happy hours, late-night dancing, intimate dinners and family meals. Businesses turn to us for catering and private parties, and discerning hosts rely on us for their special off-site events.
About Our Owners
Owner/Chef du Cuisine, Thierry Burkle Chef Thierry Burkle, began his culinary career in his native Paris and moved to Washington D.C. to continue his work with French chef Michel Laudier at the highly regarded Rive Gauche. He remained in the nation’s capital as part-owner of Place Vendome, recognized as one of the 50 Best Restaurants by both The Washingtonian and Esquire magazine. He and business partners set their sights on San Antonio, opening L’Etoile in 1984. That acclaimed progressive French restaurant closed in 2009, not long after Burkle and Obadia opened The Grill at Leon Springs. Burkle is a member of the Master Chef Association and continues to travel to France frequently.
Owner/Manager, Armand Obadia Armand Obadia moved to the United States from his native Israel in 1974. He brings more than 35 years of restaurant management and ownership experience to The Grill.
