In addition to being a classically-trained singer, Grammy Award winning songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Hendrix is lauded for her musical outreach, especially to youth.
She is an independent artist from San Marcos, Texas, who performs Americana, folk, pop, country, blues, and jazz. She is a sought-after festival performer and workshop leader, and has won many awards, including co-writing a Grammy-winning instrumental with the Dixie Chicks.
For this concert, she will be joined by Lloyd Maines, a Grammy Award Winning producer, session player, musician, and Austin City Limits Hall of Fame member. Boerne’s Cave Without a Name is located about 11 miles northeast of Boerne TX at 325 Kreutzberg Rd. It is a natural, living cavern, with unique acoustic properties. Seating is limited, and guests are reminded they need to walk down eight flights of steps.
Temperature is a constant 66 degrees in all seasons.
The venue offers a gift shop, pavilion, picnic and camping areas, full restrooms, and improved roads and parking. Activities include hiking trails, gemstone mining sluice, and geode cutting. The site offers a limited number of RV sites with electric hookups.
The final concert of this year will be on Dec 17–Winter Solstice with Celebration Circle.
