Welcome to Mystic Quarry, a modern campground designed for those who camp and those who don’t, where camping is a style you get to choose yourself, be that tiny house cabins, Boho Tipis, cottages, RV sites or primitive campsites, all just a skip from the Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake. Though our camping styles may differ, we believe that we’re all the same in our love of earth, water, fire, sun and the night sky. Our name was inspired by the mysterious stories found here. Come gather around the campfire and we’ll tell you some.
Some people want more than zippered-together nylon between their slumber and the late night chatter of crickets. For those folks, we have tiny house cabins and cottages. It’s an elevated take on camping that allows guests to experience the stylish furnishings of urban living, all while being nestled among the cedar thickets. The modern architecture of our tiny houses, with many a window, welcomes the Texas sun by day and the Hill Country starlight by night. Sizes range from perfect-for-couples to great-for-families.
Our tiny houses have distinct features. Read more about each one to see what makes them unique.
To travel is to look for new ways to experience life. So if you’ve never slept under the canvas roof of a nomadic tipi, you’ve got some living to do. Inspired by the Native American people of the Great Plains, our tipis are a unique juxtaposition of primal living and modern style. All tipis are Sioux-style, 22’ in diameter and made of flame-resistant, marine-treated materials that culminate in a pointed roof open at the top for stargazing.
The tipis have either a queen or king size pedestal bed, a mini-refrigerator/freezer, 2 portable AC units with R6 insulated walls, 2 fans, a portable heater and a 50" HDTV with 200 GVTC digital channels.
Our RV Park meanders through a shady grove of large oak trees. RVs are welcome to park in this shaded area or along the back perimeter of our resort courtyard.
When you pitch a tent in one of our campsites, your plot of land comes with a canopy of oak trees, free of charge. In this secluded area at the back of our campground, you have easy access to our rock quarry and hiking trail. Perhaps more important to some, you can enjoy close proximity to our newly renovated bathhouse and laundry facilities. Because it’s primitive, but not that primitive.
